Assistive Technology Team's Mission Statement
The Assistive Technology Team’s mission is to provide the necessary support
for students in Special Education to access the curriculum, through the use of
appropriate assistive technology equipment and services.
The use of assistive technology will enable students to meet individual
educational goals and exceed expectations.
Assistive technology services include:
“Assistive technology device” means any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of a child with a disability. (IDEA “97)
